Abstract
To achieve a rapid and accurate quantitative evaluation of the surrounding rock strength of the roadway in Sihe Mine,a nonlinear mathematical model was established to consider the influence of human and mechanical errors during measurement. The model considers the geometric parameters and strength of the surrounding rock structural plane. Using drilling results and strength measurements in 63022,63021,and the return airway, the correlation between the geometric parameters of the structural surface and strength was analyzed. Digital image processing (DIP),theoretical analysis, and mathematical statistics were used to determine the degree of influence of each parameter on strength. The results show that the gray-scale curve of the drilling image can determine the compositional difference and macroscopic defects of the rock layer. The mathematical regression model can predict the trend of the outline change of the structural plane. The inclination angle, area, and fractal dimension of the structural plane are positively correlated, with fractal dimension having the greatest influence on mechanical strength (99.51%).
