Abstract: Amounts of coal-pillar in gob were major safe potential danger.In order to evaluate stability of residual coal-pillar in gob,applying qualitative and quantitative method and combining actual example,this paper evaluated coal-pillar stability from width-to-height ratio,area ratio,strength and load of coal-pillar.Evaluation result could provide theoretical basis and engineering instruction for gob management.
