Abstract: The study on roadway layout and the face end support pattern for large inclined angle working face is important significance for maintaining safe working space and guaranteeing drawing speed of working face.This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of a variety of roadway arrangement modes and common face end support patterns for large inclined angle working face，introduces several key factors that would influence roadway layout，proposed the principle of face end support，which provided theory basis and feasible method for the reasonable roadway layout，cross-sectional dimensions and support pattern for face end.
