Abstract:
In China, certain rock burst mines have implemented horizontal well fracturing technology to mitigate dynamic disasters in deep wells with thick rock layers. To effectively monitor the fracturing process during horizontal well staged fracturing, this paper proposes the joint monitoring of surface and underground micro-seismic activity.By establishing a network for joint monitoring, surface and underground micro-seismic events can be effectively observed and analyzed during horizontal well staged fracturing. Analysis of monitoring data reveals a significantcorrelation between fracturing operations and the occurrence of micro-seismic events. When employing the joint monitoring of surface and underground micro-seismic monitoring technology,micro-seismic events within the fracture network range reach as high as 71% during the staged fracturing period. The distribution of micro-seismic events generally aligns with the vertical spread of the fracture network. Test results demonstrate that the joint monitoring system improves vertical positioning accuracy, making it well-suited for observing the effect of horizontal well staged fracturing. The proposal and application of joint monitoring technology for surface and underground micro-seismic monitoring provide valuable insights for subsequent observations and analyses of horizontal well fracturing effects.
