Abstract: In order to solve the problems in traditional short-wall mining method and “Wongewilli” mining method in Shendong Area, a new short-wall mining technology of 4 walking supports shielding roof on the basis of theoretical research and production practice.This paper introduced the technology from equipments configuration, roadway layout and section division, mining technique, roof control, ventilation manner and transportation system.This technology was been successfully applied in Wulanmulun Colliery of Shendong Mining Area, abover 80% coal resource was mined, and economic profit was obvious.
