Abstract: This paper analyzed surrounding rock deformation and its cause in high stress area of roadway driven along gob.Applying numerical simulation,it analyzed surrounding rock deformation of roadway supported by high pre-stress powerful anchored bolt and cable.Results showed that the powerful anchored bolt and cable supporting system with high pre-stress could control large deformation.Application of this supporting system in 4220 Auxiliary Roadway made roadway deformation controlled effectively.Roof subsidence value was within 200mm,convergence of two-side was within 500mm.This roadway was safe and good economic profit was made.
