Abstract: From mining status， surrounding rock structure， roadway layout， coal-pillar dimension， mining replacement and roadway supporting， this paper analyzed deformation and damage reasons of roadway along gob in full-mechanized caving mining extremely thick Carboniferous coal-seam. It put forward measures and solution method for controlling roadway deformation under similar condition.
