Abstract: The reclamation and utilization of mining subsidence land have been attended exten sively by government and the public.Although some achievements have been made over the past 20 years’ research and practice,the total effective of management and utilization is still very low.One of the main causes is the less acquaintance with subsidence lands.The mining subsidence lands are different in nature and society properties with the geological condition of coal seam,mining methods and mining sequence.It is a dependable ensuring of realizing continuable utilization of subsidence land to understand the characteristics of mining subsidence land in different area and make suitable measures according to the classification of subsidence land.
