Abstract: It is a base for controlling surface subsidence to decrease the broken of cover strata and there are two ways: partial mining and stowing mining. Partial mining has influence on the layout of working section, hard to get high productivity and efficiency with low recovery ratio. Stowing mining increases mining equipment and productive cost and the stowing materials are lack in some coalmines.The paper presents a new way of grouting in discrete zone and stowing in goaf. It is a new technical feasibility and economic method to control surface subsidence,combined with optimum design of working face.
