Abstract: This paper introducs the mechanized longwall mining of face 8706 for extracting coal seam No.3 in Yungang coal mine,Datong.Due to effect of the geological structures,the seam incline angle is 24 degree and coal mining is very difficult.Some technical measures are taken such as heightening support of rolling wheel of miner,decreasing cutting depth of miner,and adjusting mining face into an incline face and so on.Using current mechanized equipment the coal are extracted successfully and good social and economic benefits are achieved.
